ED 200 Teaching as a Profession
Recommended Preparation: ENGL 115 or equivalent
Lecture 3 hours
This course is designed for students considering teaching as a profession. The course content includes career exploration, foundations of education, critical issues in teaching, and stories about teaching by individual educators. The class will look at standards for the teaching profession and conditions for effective learning. This course requires a 30-hour pre-internship in a public school classroom. (Same as ENGL 200.)
