Art 137L, 138L, 192L, 205L, 206L, 207L, 210L, 211L, 213L, and 216L  allow students extra lab time to work on class related projects.

Art 214 series and 215 series are similar to the above classes.  You can enroll in 214A if you have completed Art 205.

  1. Art 214 series is recommended for students taking an independent study (Art 299).

  2. Art 214 series is recommended for students who have completed Art 205, have completed all other available Photo & Digital courses, but still want access to the facility to work on their portfolio.

If you are enrolled in multiple classes, you only need to enroll in one lab.

Enrolled Lab Class Policies (General)

  1. A student MUST be enrolled in one of the lab sections in order to use the 570 facilities during any of the lab sections.

  3. During the Fall and Spring semesters, a student MUST be enrolled in a photography or digital imaging class in order to use the lab. If a student has completed all available photography and digital imaging classes, then they can enroll in Independent Study in order to gain access Art 214A.

  5. This is a pass, no pass class. A student must show up 7 times total to get a grade of “pass”.

  6. Students can enroll in the section that best fits their time schedule, and still attend the other sections of the class as long as there is room available in the lab. For example, if a student enrolls in the Wed section, that student can also attend the Monday or Friday section. A student can stay as long or as little as they need to during the Lab section. They can stay just 10 min or for the entire class period.

  7. Lab instructors use an online sign-in sheet for all lab sections.  Lab instructors sign students into the lab.  At the end of the semester, lab instructors will compare the attendance sheets and base attendance on the combined effort of a student attending all Lab sections. Lab instructors can work together to best achieve this. In other words, a student will get credit for coming to any of the Lab sections.

  8. Students are responsible for notifying the lab instructor to sign them in.

  9. There is no equipment checkout by lab instructors.
