GE Plans (General Education Plans): A breadth of coursework required of students seeking degrees in institutions of higher education that provides a comprehensive education and exposure to diverse fields of knowledge. The three plans most commonly followed by SWC students are: AA-AS Plan, CSU Plan, and IGETC Plan.
Transferable: A course at Southwestern College that counts as elective credit at the transfer institution.
Articulated: A course at Southwestern College that is acceptable in place of a course at the transfer institution.
