Player of the Week

OVERALL PLAYER OF THE GAME:  FR RB AARON HARRIS 6' 190 lbs. (Granite Hills HS).  HARRIS led the JAGS in rushing with 145 yards on the ground and 2 rushing TD's.  The big play was a 70 yard race up the sidelines for a TD on the opening play of the second half.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME:  FR DT AARON LAZARO (Otay Ranch HS).  LAZARO stepped up big in his first college start.  Playing inside all afternoon, LAZARO frustrated the Griffin ground game and applied pressure on the QB throughout the game.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE GAME:  SO Place Kicker ABEL PEREZ (Castle Park HS).  2 big Field Goals 53 and 45 along with 5 kickoffs....2 of which went out of the end zone.

BIG STICK:  FR DE LAKEEM LEWIS 6'1 502 lbs. (Eastlake HS).  Making a statement on the first play of the game...LEWIS attacked on the opening kickoff and leveled the return man on the Grossmont sideline.  A huge hit that sent the tempo for the game.
