Player of the Week

OVERALL PLAYER OF THE GAME:  SHELDON GALLOWAY (Claremont HS) SHELDON #8 stepped up with a big game this past week, 11 catches for over 220 yards and 2 TD’s.  Our leading scorer in 2007, SHELDON has come out of the gate strong in ’08.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME:  RAY SORIA (St. Agustine HS) RAY #29 is a sophomore starter at OLB for the JAGS.  After a developmental year as a freshman, RAY has come on strong and developed as an outstanding player.  His effort on defense and in the special teams area have been a key to our success.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE GAME:  ANDRES CANIZALES (Chula Vista HS) After begining the season on the injured list, ANDRES #12 has finally been able to participate.  Last week ANDRES was restricted to PAT/FG duties.  Against LA Harbor, ANDRES kicked off and was a key to early field position success for the JAGS. 
 

THE BIG STICK:  TEVITA FEHOKO (Chula Vista HS) A second year starter for the JAGS, TEVITA #9 made a great hit on the second Kickoff of the game.  Running up the left sideline, TEVITA DESTROYED the blocker and made the tackle.
