Player of the Week

PLAYER OF THE GAME:  GEORGE BELL WR (San Diego HS). George stepped up big with 8 catches and a TD for the JAGS.  The TD was an amazing ONE HANDED CATCH in the end zone while the DB held his other arm.  This is the second big game for the 6’5 205 lbs receiver.  George had 5 catches the previious week and a TD that was called back.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER:  DAVID FERRIS LB/DL (Bonita Vista HS).  David played both LB and DE in the game depending on the front we were in.  He had 5 tackles, a Sack and two more tackles for a loss.  David subordinated his own goals for that of the team by playing more than one position.  A rarity in today’s world.

SPECIAL TEAMS:  ERIC CARRILLO PLACE KICKER (Steele Canyon HS).  Eric made 3 PAT’s and a Field Goal, this after having a rough first outing in game one.  Eric also kicked off for the JAGS.  Eric is proof positive that the most important play is the NEXT PLAY.

BIG STICK:  CHRIS SIDDENS DB (Otay Ranch HS).  Chris put the hit of the game on the Chaffey QB.  Chris hit him so hard that the players mouth piece came flying out on contact.
