Professor Yvonne Lucas has a diverse background, which includes experience in Corporate America, non-profit, small business management and teaching. She transferred from a Community College in the Los Angeles area to San Diego State University. She received her undergraduate degree from SDSU in 1992, a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
Following her undergraduate degree, she worked at the corporate offices of Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., as a Supervisor in the National Customer Relations Department. While working at Toyota, she received her Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Shortly after receiving her MBA, she started teaching as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Business Department at CSUDH. Currently Yvonne is a Professor at Southwestern College, Business Management Division. She teaches a variety of business classes in the traditional setting as well as online.
In addition to her professional and academic experience, Yvonne has traveled extensively around the world obtaining knowledge of the respective cultures, traditions, history and political structures through total immersion. She spent eight months traveling exclusively in South/Central America and Mexico. Following her International Business MBA degree, she traveled throughout most of Asia reinforcing the information learned from her studies.
