Who should attend the workshops?

If you are a Southwestern College student who is interested in improving your writing skills, these workshops are for you!

What happens during a workshop?

An SWC faculty member or tutor provides you with useful information regarding the workshop topic. Time is devoted to hands-on practice, with trained tutors to assist you.

What if I am already enrolled in a composition course?

Great! These workshops offer some extra assistance and help you make the most of your English course. Sometimes different approaches will help you better understand writing concepts.

Do these workshops really help?

Yes! Thousands of SWC students have attended our workshops and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Students have commented that the workshops were "just what was needed." We hope to have the same positive response from you!

What if I need help with my essay?

We encourage you to bring your essay for hands-on practice. In addition, you can visit the Writing Center in room 420D or the Online Writing Lab (OWL) for assistance.

Where are these workshops?

They are held in room 420I in the Academic Success Center (420 building).
