CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY

[Recommended Preparation: RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Introduces the social and cultural adaptations of various peoples around the world to geographic, historical, and socioeconomic conditions. Focuses on comparative systems of communications, economics, family/kingship, government, and religion. Emphasizes "culture" as a meaningful scientific concept. [D; CSU; UC]
