NC 99 STRENGTH TRAINING FOR OLDER ADULTS 0 Units No Credit. Laboratory 36 hours. This training is specifically designed for older adults. Students can stand or sit while exercising. Strength training exercises will enhance and promote strength and balance skills, trunk, abdominal, back strength, mobility and agility skills, and awareness of proper body alignment and mechanics. CS 176 CHAKRAS---CHANGE YOUR ENERGY: CHANGE YOUR LIFE 55 Units Participants will learn about the seven Chakras energy centers within the body and how to energize their centers, which will lead to greater health benefits. Students will also learn techniques to send healing energy to essential parts of the body. Moreover, they will learn how the energy body affects the physical body, which will help them to get in touch with the ties between the mind and body, so they can better understand their emotions and how they can hurt or help to heal them.

CS 217 FIGHTING FIT KICKBOXING 85 Units The goal is to get people into their best physical shape by emphasizing cardio fitness, with special attention on toning muscles. The program works well for women and men. The class is an intense workout that uses a lot of power kicks, bag work, sparring, upper body work, ballet bar work for stretching and flexibility, intense abdominal work, lots of jumps, running laps, lots of push-ups, and boxing. At the start of the program, students have the option of getting their body fat measured and getting recommendations for a healthy food program.
