PRINCIPLES OF GEOLOGY

[Recommended Preparation: RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Introduction to earth science. The focus of the course spans the origin of minerals and rocks, plate tectonics, and continental drift and mountain building. Survey of world economic geologic resources will be considered , as well as basic processes in weathering and erosion. [D; CSU; UC]

INTRODUCTION TO EARTH SCIENCE
