HIST 106 WORLD HISTORY I 3 Units [Recommended Preparation: RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Covers world history from human origins to the emergence of modernity at the beginning of the sixteenth century. Emphasizes not only the history of the world's major civilizations but explains how the diverse peoples of these different societies often helped influence and shape each other's cultural experiences and worldviews.
