MATH 70 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA II 4 Units [Prerequisite: MATH 60 or MATH 60PL or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Mathematics Assessment or equivalent. Recommended Preparation: RDG 56 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Emphasizes advanced concepts, including algebra of functions, function composition, inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, radical functions, and rational functions. Covers conics, quadratic, cubic equations, systems of equations, inequalities, matrix methods, sequences, and series. The graphing calculator will be used to graph and analyze functions. Requires graphing calculator. (Not open to students with credit in MATH 70PL.)
