MATH 70 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA II 4 Units [Prerequisite: MATH 60 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Mathematics Assessment or equivalent. Recommended Preparation: RDG 56 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Emphasizes application problems, graphing calculator (calculations, matrix methods, graphing), logarithms, and conics. Covers functions (inverse, exponential, logarithmic, radical, rational, quadratic), nonlinear inequalities, polynomial division, equations (quadratic in form, exponential, logarithmic), systems of equations or inequalities, sequences and series.
