MATH 60 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA I 4 Units [Prerequisite: MATH 45 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Mathematics Assessment or equivalent. Recommended Preparation: RDG 56 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Emphasizes intermediate concepts of algebra such as rational numbers, systems of equations in two and three variables, absolute value equations and inequalities, radical expressions, rational exponents, complex numbers, quadratic equations, graphing linear and quadratic functions, and graphing parabolas and circles.
