PRE-ALGEBRA

Recommended Preparation: RDG 56 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Provides students with the strategies needed to make the transition from arithmetic to elementary algebra. Includes a review of basic mathematics, operations on real numbers and algebraic expressions, introduction to elementary topics in algebra, introduction to the Cartesian coordinate system, topics in geometry, English and metric measurements, and conversions.
