HLTH 204 FUNDAMENTALS OF NUTRITION 3 Units Grade only. [Recommended Preparation: RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Introduces nutrition as applied to the stages of the human life cycle. Focuses on the basic principles of nutrition, including knowledge of daily nutritional requirements. Describes the function of the digestive organs. Emphasizes effects of over and under eating.
