ESL 159B LEARNING ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES 4D 4 Units [Prerequisite: ESL 49A, ESL 49B, and ESL 49C, or ESL 49D and ESL 49E, or equivalent. Corequisite: ESL 59A, ESL 59B, and ESL 159A.] Fourth level of Academic ESL. Prepares students to attend college classes in English. Provides instruction in grammar, academic listening, and further develops essay-level writing.
