Recommended Preparation: ECON 101 or equivalent; RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Emphasizes a study of the principles and applications regarding specific economic sectors (micro analysis). Includes analyses of various competitive models in a market economy, including the analysis of the theory of the firm, the role of prices, and market failures.
