ASTR 120 SOLAR SYSTEM ASTRONOMY 3 Units [Recommended Preparation: MATH 45 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Mathematics Assessment or equivalent; RDG 56 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Investigates the origin of the Sun and planets and how they change. Analyzes the physical properties of planets, moons, rings, comets, and asteroids. Surveys the history of space exploration.
