ADN 111A PATHOPHYSIOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY I 2 Units Grade only. [Prerequisite: Biol 260, 261, and 265, or equivalent. Corequisite: ADN 112 and 112L.] Provides pathophysiology and pharmacological treatment of the neurological, musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, and urinary systems. Also includes fluids, electrolytes ,and acid-base disturbances. Focuses on specific diseases and disorders with selected drugs, their mechanism of action, dosage, effects, route of administration, side effects, contraindications, and classification. Emphasizes medications as they relate to disease pathology. [D; CSU]
