Fire Science Club -- Formed in Spring 2006

Mission Statement:

The Southwestern College Fire Science Club is dedicated to providing fire and life safety knowledge to future firefighters in the surrounding community through the use of technology and hands-on applications. “Learning today, working tomorrow”

Ideas & Goals:

Working with the Burn Institute and UCSD Burn Center
Working with the Chula Vista Firefighter’s Foundation
Working to helping people in need, including those who have lost their home due to fire or natural disaster
Fund raising to help in time of need, fire or natural disaster
Teaching free CPR classes for the college and the community
Encouraging club members to become CPR instructors
Making ourselves and our community better
