Southwestern College was awarded the Child Care Access Means Parents in School Grant.
The CCAMPIS program supports the participation of income eligible families in the postsecondary education system through the provision of campus-based childcare services.
Our proposal is to offer quality, center-based childcare services by adding additional spaces for income eligible students through child care stipends that will; defray the cost of tuition, implement an educational outreach campaign to attract students to quality center-based childcare, improve school readiness curriculum with bilingual instruction and materials, and provide support for student families that enables them to achieve academic goals while their children become better prepared to enter kindergarten.
