Call for Artists

Open call for chalk artists!

Southwestern College invites you to apply and participate in Southwestern College’s 6th Annual Women’s History Month Street Painting Festival on Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday, March 22, 2012.

This year's theme: "Women's Education — Women's Empowerment."

Join us and be part of this unique opportunity to showcase your artwork with the community.

Applications are currently being accepted from professional, practicing and student artists who would like to participate as a chalk artist. (Participation as an artist is on a volunteer basis. Students, check with your instructors for extra-credit opportunities.)

Join us and participate solo, as a team or class group — All are welcome!

There is no cost to you!
We provide the chalk, you provide your masterpiece!

JUDGING WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, MARCH 22 AT 1:00 P.M.

Artist Application must be RECEIVED BY: ~~MONDAY, MARCH 12, 2012~~ FRIDAY, MARCH 16, 2012 to guarantee your supplies.
(DAY-OF-EVENT APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A SUPPLY AND SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS)

*Your chalking area may include a participating sponsor name (we will provide sponsor). Spaces are limited—First-come, first-served.
