Board of Governorís Fee Waiver

The Board of Governor's Fee Waiver (BOGFW) program is a California State funded program designed to assist eligible students with the cost of registration fees. To apply for the BOGFW, you must complete the FAFSA or complete a BOGFW application. Eligibility is determined based on the information provided on the BOGFW application, or by performing a Needs Analysis with the information given in the FAFSA application.

A student may qualify in one of the following ways:

  • At the time of enrollment, a student must be a recipient of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)/CalWORKs or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or General Relief
  • Student must meet specific income standards
  • Student must demonstrate eligibility for state and/or federal need-based financial aid
