California Native Gardening Practicum
A hands-on training for care and maintenance of California native plant gardens. Both designers, Eliana Uretsky of Gardens for the Future, and Clayton Tschudy, botanist & President of Garden Native, will be in attendance.
SWC will provide gloves, tools, and equipment. Be prepared to get your hands and shoes dirty!
Clayton Tschudy will lead the instruction, which will include the following topics.

The new Southwestern College native garden was designed and installed in 2010 and contains Oak Woodland & Coastal Sage Scrub zones, as well as mature specimens of rare garden plants such as Mission Manzanita and Pinyon Pine.
