• International Trade Development Center Signs Partnership Agreement
  The San Diego Center for International Trade Development—based at Southwestern College—held a ceremonial partnership signing with Cámara de Negocios México-Americana.



• Bookstore Now Offers Textbook Rentals
  When you check out, the SWC Bookstore may be able to offer you the chance to rent your books for the semester rather than buying them.



• College To Break Ground on New Athletic Field House
  New classrooms, training facilities and a lecture hall will be structure's focus. The public is invited to the 11 a.m. Aug. 1 event.



• Crown Cove Now Offers Equipment Rentals
  The Crown Cove Aquatic Center has begun rental of kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and sailboats.



• ASTRA Club receives the ASTRA Service Award
  Bringing Dr. Seuss’ “Read Across America” program to Chula Vista preschoolers earned the ASTRA Volunteer Club of Southwestern College the ASTRA Service award for the district that encompasses four states and Mexico.



• Campus Construction Update
  Construction work on the eastern entrances to Southwestern College will shift locations starting Monday, July 2.



• Vice President Named Science Educator of the Year
  Kathy Tyner, Southwestern College’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, has been recognized by the San Diego Science Educators Association for her outstanding achievement and commitment to science education at the college level.
