“We have a responsibility to our students and community to be prepared for emergencies – and this equipment helps us move closer to that goal,” Interim Superintendent/President Denise Whittaker said. “Congratulations to Sergeant Robert Sanchez whose was instrumental in acquiring these supplies.”
In addition to basic recording and management supplies such as pencils and clipboards, the equipment includes:
- First Aid kits with bio spill gear
- Assorted medical supplies
- Protective goggles, masks and respirators
- Cots, tents and folding tables and chairs
“Southwestern College is now better prepared to respond to a serious emergency,” Police Chief Brent Chartier said.
SWCPD was certified by the California Commission On Peace Officer Standards And Training in August 1997.
