“Another Space IV”
A Southwestern College Juried Student Art Show
More than 300 arts enthusiasts will attend the opening reception for “Another Space IV” in downtown Chula Vista in storefront space being generously donated for the duration of the two-week display.
Student artists will provide drawing demonstrations during the reception as guests view more than 100 pieces of art in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography and 2D/3D design in the juried exhibition. The students will be competing for awards in each category, as well as an overall “Best of Show” prize.
The exhibit was moved to downtown Chula Vista to spotlight the growing arts culture along Third Avenue, and the space has been generously donated by Mr. and Mrs. Rafael Muro, owners of the Pioneer Furniture building. The Southwestern College School of Arts and Communication, in partnership with the Third Avenue Village Association, are presenting the exhibit.
The opening night reception will feature special greetings from Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox, Chula Vista Councilwoman Pamela Bensoussan and Southwestern College Superintendent/President Dr. Melinda Nish.
