• Statement by Governing Board President Norma L. Hernandez
  The Governing Board continues to monitor the investigation by the San Diego District Attorney’s Office and continues to provide its full support and cooperation, which began in March of this year.



• Board-Initiated Review of Construction Contracts/Proposition R
  The Governing Board has been closely following reports of a San Diego District Attorney's office investigation and has had an external expert auditing Proposition R contracts since April.



• WebAdvisor -- Winter Break Schedule
  WebAdvisor will be available during the winter break for Spring 2012 registration and to make payments for classes.



• Scholarships Applications Now Accepted
  The period for SWC students to apply for scholarships is open.



• Fall Finals Schedule
  Final Exams Week is December 10-16 -- check this schedule to see when your exams will be held. Remember, parking regulations still apply!

  Starting in January, you will begin seeing activity and preparation for the construction of the Field House and for four of the six structures of the Corner Lot project .

  The Cafeteria will be closing earlier -- but the Time Out Cafe will offer new dining options. Ribbon-cutting on Dec. 7!



• Spring Continuing Education Schedule Now Online
  Our new Continuing Education offerings include Car Tips and Maintenance for Women, Children as Storytellers and a variety of free Customer Service classes.



• Professors to Hold Support Our Students Rally
  The December 1 rally will address ways to deal with costs and funding in education, tuition increases, rising book costs, the practice of publishers changing editions without any significant changes and student loan and financial aid issues.



• SWC Presents “Simply Maria, or the American Dream”
  The Theatre Department proudly presents “Simply Maria, or the American Dream,” written by acclaimed Latina playwright Josefina Lopez and directed by theatre instructor Ruff Yeager.



• Spring Schedule Now Online
  The Spring 2012 class schedule is now available online. Registration for new and returning students begins November 28.
